Cristiano Ribeiro

Professor Cristiano Ribeiro is a 5th-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, head instructor, and co-founder of CR Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. With over 30 years of experience on the mats, he began his martial arts journey training directly under the Gracie family in Brazil. He went on to co-found several Gracie Barra academies before developing his own refined and effective teaching methodology.

Cristiano is also a certified Law Enforcement Officer in the state of Utah, bringing real-life tactical experience and practical self-defense to his students. His classes are known for being technical, structured, and full of purpose—helping students of all ages and levels grow with clarity and confidence.

Passionate about martial arts, discipline, and community, Professor Cristiano leads by example, inspiring everyone around him. He believes Jiu-Jitsu is not just a sport, but a tool to transform lives, build stronger families, and develop leadership on and off the mats.
